Clarence J. Primm was born in South Dakota, worked as an educator in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Kansas, and after retirement lived in Manitowoc, Wis. He served as First lieutenant in Company M, 339th U.S. Infantry, during the American intervention of Archangel, Russia.
